I’m still on the search for these shoes but check them out here…
Thinking ahead to warmer weather for many of us, this is the perfect cocktail to get you in the mood or spring. I’m a huge fan of white wine sangria and this is one of my favorite recipes! Check it out here…
I have never understood why so many active wear clothing companies ignore the plus size community, so I’m thrilled to see Nike pioneering the movement. You can check out the full collection here, but first here are a few of my favorite pieces… Nike are not just great for active wear, they have some great leisurewear too – as modelled here by my fellow blogger friend, Danielle Vanier. I absolutely love that Nike has not only used gorgeous plus size models but influential bloggers as well! Sometimes its best to keep your style simple. I love how you can go straight from the gym to the high street in this head to toe Nike look. Dani is bringing it again! I don’t know about you, but I would definitely like to rock this look during my Zumba class! The new collection is more than black leggings and tops. There are great sports bras to support the girls and lots of colors to choose from when it comes to putting together your workout look. So hit the gym in style, ladies! Rock those curves while keeping it healthy!
I am in love with this swimsuitsforall collection! Ashley has done it again, creating a gorgeous line that flatters every body type. Check out some of my favorites below! Look like a absolute stunner in this Guapa Bikini. Get wild in this Leopard print, plunging neckline Profesora Leopard Swimsuit! I am absolutely in love with this Condesa Bikini! Pretty in Pink! You can’t go wrong with this absolutely beautiful Floral Estrella Swimsuit. I’m pretty sure this Valiente Swimsuit will be all over the beaches this summer! I know I’m getting mine!
As much as I love the department stores and high street shops, I have always been on the lookout for fantastic independent designers who specialize in clothes for a curvy body types. Years ago, thanks to Etsy, I found several but one stood out among the rest. The clothes were bold and looked like something you’d see on a runway. The only difference was, the women looked like me! They weren’t hiding themselves away in dark colors but rather declaring who they were in bold colors, prints and designs. I instantly fell in love with JIBRI! I had never seen designs like this before for plus size women. Take a look at a few of some of my favorites from their amazing catalog of clothes. Jumpsuits and Denim will be all over the place this S/S17. JIBRI has this BOAT NECK MID SLEEVED DENIM JUMPSUIT that will work perfect for warmer temps. Don’t be afraid to be bold this Spring and Summer with some on trend bright colors. We will see lots of Yellow and Orange around. This ORANGE GEOMETRIC FLOWY SLEEVELESS SPRING MAXI DRESS does bold perfectly! Don’t be afraid to bear that midriff! With this classic high neck sleeveless […]
With the weather in Texas reaching spring temperatures in mid-January, I can’t help but look to the near future at next season’s trends. I personally can’t wait for the warmer weather and the sunshine to hit, mostly because I’m ready to sport some new looks! Here are 3 trends for the Spring/Summer that I am looking forward to… 50 SHADES OF PINK All shades of pink will be everywhere! I always get a lot of grief for wearing color but looks like I’ll have a good excuse to rock it this year! It’s not just going to be pink either – another color to be on the lookout for this season is yellow. * Valentino SHOULDER PADS Welcome back to the 80s! For those of us who remember this trend we may not be too excited that it’s back. Nevertheless, it’s back and can give a really strong, tailored look if worn properly. * DKNY, Michael Kors and Céline JUMPSUITS FOR THE WIN I am so excited to see this trend becoming more of a stable look. This is one of the easiest looks to achieve and can be flattering on just about every body type. You’ll see jumpsuits in denim, […]
It’s that time of year again. Time to make those resolutions! Personally, I’ve never been a fan of all of that. I’m more of an “improve yourself all year long” kind of girl… With the body positive/acceptance movement in full force I think we forget just how important taking care of our bodies actually is. Does that mean you need to be skinny? Of course not, but it does mean that you should take pride in your body and health no matter what size you are. Below are some great workout tips from one of my favorite personal trainers and my actual personal trainer, Eric Bartee, as well as a low carb recipe that is sure to be a hit at the dinner table! I have recently gone low carb and I thought this was going to be difficult, but I’ve come to find that I should have done it years ago! My latest obsession is Danielle Walker. For Christmas I bought myself her book, Danielle Walker’s Against All Grain: Meals Made Simple. I wouldn’t say it’s as easy as “normal” cooking but it sure tastes just as good! This Paleo Chicken Tikka Masala is a staple in my recipe […]
Gone are the days of dressing up in your finest to go to the airport. Looking around you’ll see people in their trainers, sweats and practically wearing pajamas. I have never been that person. I blame my mother. She always dressed us up when we went places so, naturally, I’m still doing that. On the long hauls I do so often now I’m starting to think that the people wearing sweats have the right idea. Who cares if they just look like they just rolled out of bed! They are comfy!
One Look, Two Ways I love wearing clothes that are versatile. There is nothing better than getting the most out of your hard earned money when it comes the the clothes you buy. Fashion is about pushing boundaries and who says you can’t throw on a pair of trainers with a dress and rock it. Take a look at how I styled a traditional little black slip dress (another huge trend this A/W16) by giving it a trendy daytime look and then a classy evening look.
